I have been a nurse for over 30 years, and I could not have picked a more beautiful profession. In all my roles, I feel advocacy continues to be my top priority, no matter if I am taking care of a dying patient, saving a patient’s life, serving in the board room or lobbying for what’s right. That is why ANA is the perfect organization for me and it has been an honor to serve as the ANA Vice President these last two years.

 

I feel it is the responsibility of the board to actively explore the needs of its membership and tackle the tough issues before them.
